About GMB Bernsdorf
Gießereimaschinenbau GmbH (GMB) is a steel construction company in Bernsdorf in Upper Lusatia (Saxony) that has been producing custom steel structures for the foundry and building materials industries as well as mining since 1990. Its range of services covers the project planning, design and manufacture of steel silos, tanks, pressure vessels, cupola furnaces, pipework, dedusting systems, steel load-bearing structures, crane runways and steel chimneys, through to special custom constructions such as special mining equipment. Production is carried out as one-off manufacture and small-batch production, either self-designed or jointly engineered with the customer. Unalloyed and high-alloy steels as well as stainless steel in sheet and profile form are processed; the methods range from CNC flame cutting (up to 200 mm) to rolling, folding, sawing and MAG/TIG welding, through to blasting and painting. All production steps – engineering, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and painting – are carried out under one roof at the Bernsdorf site. The company employs around 40 skilled workers and is certified in accordance with DIN EN 1090 (EXC3) for load-bearing steel structures and in accordance with EN ISO 3834-2 for welding.
