Alma is the brand of Giorio Srl, an Italian family business for wood flooring founded in 1969 by Pierino Giorio. The company produces engineered parquet planks and solid wood floors in Legnian patterns such as herringbone 45°, plank 90°, herringbone 30°, geometric patterns, design collections, inlays as well as terrace decking. Production of the planks takes place at the company's own plant in Hungary, which was chosen for its wood-processing tradition: from the selection and cross-cutting of the logs, to the gluing of the lamellas onto plywood (sandwich process), to the tongue-and-groove profiling. Finishing, quality control and packaging of every plank are carried out in Italy at the headquarters in Montà (CN). Oak (Rovere) and certified wood from controlled, sustainable forestry are used; the products are EPD-certified. Project business includes residential construction, hotels, commercial properties and villas with custom manufacturing and installation worldwide.
