Plastics Technology from Westendorf since 1985
GIWA Kunststofftechnik is a developer and producer of high-quality plastic products based in Westendorf near Augsburg. Founded in 1985 by Walter Götzfried, the company works as a contract manufacturer producing customized plastic molded parts and assemblies to customer specifications – from compact injection molding through multi-component (2K), gas-injection (GID), hybrid (overmolding of metal inserts) and MuCell processes to painted, textured or high-gloss visible parts. The machine park comprises more than 40 production cells with clamping forces from 50 to 1,500 tons; parts up to 6 kg and over 2 m in length are feasible, with an output of around 30 million parts per year. Services include project planning, design, in-house toolmaking with CNC machining centers up to five axes, prototyping (SLS, STL, vacuum casting, prototype injection molding), assembly, quality and supplier logistics including ship-to-line. In addition, GIWA has operated closed plastic loops for three decades and processes more than 6,500 t of recyclates annually. Its main industries are office furniture, logistics & transport, industrial & construction technology, automotive, household goods and the food industry.

Quality Assurance and Certificates
Quality is ensured throughout the process, from feasibility analysis and quality pre-planning through to series production; results of series-accompanying inspections are archived electronically in CAQ for several years. The materials and laboratory team performs viscosity (MFI/MVR), moisture, tensile, compressive, color and conductivity measurements.
