About GL Gießerei Lößnitz GmbH
GL Gießerei Lößnitz GmbH is a traditional foundry in the Erzgebirge region of Saxony whose foundry expertise dates back to 1849. The company produces grey iron and ductile iron castings and accompanies the entire process, from consulting and development together with the customer through pattern making to the finished casting. In its own pattern shop, styrofoam patterns are produced according to drawings or CAD data on a 3-axis CNC milling machine; in addition, the company offers prototype construction as well as modern CAD/CAM applications. Since 1992, extensive investments have been made in molding lines, sand preparation, melting operations, fettling and a blast room in order to continuously optimize work processes and quality. Its customers include renowned international companies from pattern making and prototype construction. The company places great importance on sustainability and environmental protection and is reachable via the A72, about a 30-minute drive from Zwickau.
