About the brewery
Glaabsbräu is an independent family brewery in Seligenstadt (Hesse), which according to its own statements has been brewing beer for more than 275 years and is regarded as the oldest brewery in southern Hesse. The combination of a modern brewing facility commissioned in 2015 with its own brewing and raw materials philosophy enables the creation of natural beers that, according to the company, meet higher standards than the German Purity Law. The range includes, among others, Helles, Pilsener, Hefeweizen (light, dark, kristall), Radler variants as well as speciality beers such as Seligenstädter Urstoff. The brewery distributes its beers via the gastronomy and retail sectors and an online shop, and offers merchandise articles. In addition, BrauErlebnis guided tours of the brewing facility are available, where the brewing process can be experienced up close.
