Glas Ammer e.U. is a glass processing company based in Schlüßlberg, Upper Austria, family-owned and in its fifth generation since 1949. The company manufactures safety glass and technical glass parts: on fully automated lines, float glass cuts up to 6000 x 3210 mm are produced, and on CNC machining centers glass is milled, ground, polished, drilled and engraved (tolerance ±0.2 mm). A dedicated ESG toughening furnace enables full tempering and heat strengthening, and two laminated glass production lines manufacture laminated safety glass (VSG) up to 3000 x 1500 mm and special builds up to 100 mm overall thickness – including digital printing under the AMSECUR® print|in|glass brand. The range is complemented by insulating glass, film coatings, UV bonding, sandblasted decoration, all-glass systems as well as installation and delivery with its own vehicle fleet. With around 200 tons of float and patterned glass storage capacity, Glas Ammer serves construction, trades and technical applications throughout Austria.

Company History
- 1949
Josef Ammer sen. founded a glazier's workshop on 20 m² at Stadtplatz 6 in Grieskirchen.
- 1964
Relocation to a newly built residential and commercial building in Grieskirchen, Industriestraße 38.
- 1985
Josef Ammer jun. established a new glazier's business in Schlüßlberg with 330 m² of operating space.
- 1995
New construction of an 880 m² glass storage hall with 5t hall crane and float glass cutting line.
- 1998
Expansion of the glass processing sector through the purchase of several flat glass processing machines (1998–2004).
- 2007
Business handed over to Alexander Ammer – 5th generation of the glazier's trade in the family.
- 2009
Expansion with a CNC machining center for flat glass.
