About Glas Trösch
Glas Trösch is a Swiss glass manufacturer and processing company founded in 1905 and family-owned, with around 6,000 employees at more than 70 locations in 16 countries. At the start of the value chain is the float glass (EUROFLOAT) and extra-clear low-iron float glass (EUROWHITE NG) produced in the company's own float glass plants, in thicknesses of 2 to 12 mm and oversized formats up to 900 x 321 cm. From this, coated glass (SILVERSTAR), thin glass, insulating glass, safety glass (ESG/TVG/VSG with PVB film laminated in the autoclave, EUROLAMEX), fire-protection glass (FIRESWISS FOAM/COOL) as well as printed, laser-etched and anti-slip treated glass are produced. Through its subsidiaries Okalux and BGT, daylighting systems and complex glass projects are realised, while MECAPLEX manufactures aircraft glazing. The glass is used in facades, windows, roofs and interiors as well as in rail, vehicle and aircraft construction and in laboratory and medical technology. The group is represented in Switzerland, Germany, France, Ukraine, Moldova and the USA; its registered office and holding are in Bützberg.

Materials and Processes
Float glass
Base glass with clear transparency, produced in the company's own plants, thicknesses 2–12 mm, 100% recyclable.
Extra-clear float glass (low iron)
Highly transparent, colour-neutral base glass with a reduced iron oxide content for architecture and glass design.
Polyvinyl butyral film
Interlayer for laminated safety glass (VSG/EUROLAMEX), laminated in the autoclave up to 3210 × 6000 mm.
Fire-protection glass
Forms a solid foam panel and heat shield in the event of fire, for escape and rescue routes.
Ceramic inks
Fired permanently into the glass during the thermal tempering process (DECO SC/RC, COLORPRINT CP).
