About the GKT Group
The GKT group is an owner-managed family company founded in 1978 by Horst Egg, headquartered in Brakel (North Rhine-Westphalia). Across three independent companies – including Brakeler Thermo-Glas GmbH (founded 1986) and Glas- und Kunststofftechnik GmbH & Co. KG – flat glass products are manufactured on approximately 12,000 m² of production space: thermal, solar, acoustic, safety and functional insulating glass, single-pane safety glass (ESG/ESG-H/TVG) and laminated safety glass up to XXL format of 2,800 x 6,000 mm. The service portfolio includes CNC machining, edge grinding, drilling, sandblasting, coating and digital printing, surface sealing, and the production of internal Georgian bar systems made of aluminium. In addition, the group offers template digitisation, glass thickness calculation, hardware systems, film packaging and logistics with its own fleet including construction site delivery. Customers include window manufacturers, metal fabricators, joineries, distributors, interior fitters, craft businesses and private customers in Germany and the neighbouring countries.
