About the glass studio
The Glasatelier Schlieker in Probstzella in the Thuringian Slate Mountains designs and produces glass art in high-quality craftsmanship for interior doors, sliding doors, all-glass doors, front doors and windows. The range of services includes the new type of leaded glazing with a continuous base pane, modern design glazing with applied glass lenses, fused glass (glass fusion at over 850 °C), traditional leaded glazing with genuine glass painting using old painting techniques as well as hand-crafted sandblasted decorations. Materials used include, among others, safety glass, mouth-blown genuine antique glass, coloured glass and bevelled glass. Customers are private customers and builders; an all-inclusive carefree package is offered, from individual design development through production as a one-of-a-kind piece to professional delivery and an expert on-site installation service. In addition to new creations, historic leaded glass windows and old glazing are also restored.

New type with a continuous base pane for greater stability as well as traditional leaded glazing made from individual pieces of glass.
Mouth-blown genuine antique glass
Historic glasses for traditional leaded glazing and glass painting, in new production and restoration.
Fused glass
Coloured and clear glass fused at over 850 °C with a relief-like surface and strong light refraction.
Design glazing
Continuous base pane with applied coloured and clear glass lenses for modern effects.
Sandblasted decorations
Hand-crafted frosted finishes with motifs, subsequently surface-sealed.
