Glassworks for mouth-blown flat glass, colored glass, and flashed glass in over 5000 shades

Glashütte Lamberts Waldsassen
WaldsassenNew on Amplifa
Glass manufactory for over a hundred years
The Lamberts glassworks in Waldsassen produces handcrafted, mouth-blown flat glass in the traditional manner with around 70 employees. The glass is first melted from sand, soda, and lime, then colored and blown into balloons, from which cylinders are formed; these are reheated in the flattening furnace and shaped into sheets. Small air inclusions and an irregular surface make the glass the ideal substrate for heritage conservation, historical restorations, and glass art. The portfolio includes colored glass and flashed glass with over 5000 shades and textures, as well as opal glass and individually tailored glass solutions for architecture, interior design, and design projects. The traditional method of mouth-blown flat glass production was recognized by UNESCO as intangible world cultural heritage in 2023. Lamberts sources materials regionally and continuously invests in improving processes and technical equipment.
