About Glaston
Glaston Corporation is a Finnish company headquartered in Helsinki that manufactures machines and complete production lines for glass processing. The portfolio comprises heat treatment equipment for tempering, bending and laminating glass (Heat Treatment Technologies), production lines for double, triple and quadruple insulating glass with conventional, flexible and TPS spacers (Insulating Glass Technologies), as well as glass cutting equipment and pre-processing lines for automotive and display glass (Automotive & Display Technologies). Materials processed include float glass, tempered glass, laminated glass, thermoplastic spacers (TPS), polyisobutylene and two-component sealants. In addition to machine building, Glaston offers maintenance, spare parts, service agreements, training, machine upgrades, relocation/reinstallation and modernization of older plants; maintenance accounted for roughly one third of total revenue in 2021. Customers come from the architectural glass, automotive, solar energy, furniture, household appliances and aerospace industries and are located in over 100 countries. In addition to Finland, Glaston operates factories in Germany (Neuhausen), Switzerland (Bützberg) and China (Tianjin); the company is listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

Materials and Processes
Float glass
Base material for edge grinding (arrissing) and insulating glass lines, processable in thicknesses from 3 to 25 mm.
Tempered Glass
Produced in the heat treatment systems (RC, FC, Jumbo Series) and further processed in edge processing lines.
Laminated Glass
Manufactured on laminating lines; also processed in the edge grinding machine MULTI'ARRISSER.
TPS Thermo Plastic Spacer
Thermoplastic spacer that is applied directly onto the glass pane in SPEED and VARIO lines.
Polyisobutylene
Double-sided butyl application on conventional and flexible spacers to ensure gas tightness of insulating glass.
Two-component sealants
Sealing material for insulating glass units, dosed via the sealing robots ACTIVE'SEALER and SPEED'SEALER.
