Art and craftsmanship since 1886
The Glaswerkstätten F. Schneemelcher is a stained glass workshop founded in 1886 in Quedlinburg, today run as a sole proprietorship by Frank Schneemelcher in the fourth generation. The company realizes artistic glass designs in collaboration with external artists from Europe, particularly in colored, mouth-blown genuine antique glass. Another key area of work is the restoration and reconstruction of historic stained glass and leaded glazing of all style periods in accordance with the requirements of international heritage conservation. In the field of large-area building applications, the workshop offers hot forming, insulating glass finishing, filigree lead-came techniques, crystal-clear bonding of applications as well as sandblasting and etching. In addition, complex solutions such as glass stelae, wayfinding systems and designed entrance areas are created for public, residential and commercial buildings. Reference objects can be found, among others, in churches, public buildings and clinics in Germany and beyond.
