About Glatz

Glatz AG is a Swiss fourth-generation family company with over 130 years of tradition in the development, manufacture, and distribution of high-quality parasols for private and commercial use. The product range comprises 21 different parasol models – from garden parasols and side-mast parasols to wind-resistant professional and giant parasols – in over 20'000 combinations and more than 70 shades, supplemented by custom-made solutions for the contract segment. Production and tailoring take place under one roof at the headquarters in Frauenfeld, with sewing, production, and assembly areas; the products carry the SWISSMADE or SWISSDESIGN labels. Weather-resistant materials are used, such as natural teak wood, Swiss ash wood, natural anodised or powder-coated aluminium, fibreglass, and chrome-plated zinc die-casting. Customers come from the hotel and catering industry, architecture and planning, as well as the private sector; references include the Falkensteiner Group, the Park Hotel Vitznau, and the Kongresshaus Zürich. Around 30 patents document the innovative strength, for example the gear-tooth joint and the first side-mast parasol.
