About Global Welding Technologies
Global Welding Technologies AG has been the holding company of the igm Group since 2006, headquartered in Wiener Neudorf (Austria), and unites the companies igm Robotersysteme, Global Beam Technologies (Steigerwald Strahltechnik and PTR Strahltechnik), Polysoude and Oxytechnik. The group thus covers the entire spectrum of welding technology: from automated arc welding (MIG/MAG, TIG, plasma, spot welding, friction stir welding, cladding/overlay welding) through laser and laser-hybrid welding to electron beam welding in vacuum and at atmospheric pressure. Production includes custom welding robot systems (including the RTE 400 model series, rail systems up to 100 m in length, gantry systems for workpieces up to 25 m wide and 8 m high), EB chamber, indexing and through-feed machines, strip welding systems, orbital welding systems and special-purpose welding and cutting systems. In addition, the group offers EB contract manufacturing on more than ten of its own machines, welding trials, service and maintenance. Materials processed include steel, stainless steel, aluminium, cast iron, copper/CuCrZr, titanium, Inconel and niobium. Customers come from industries such as earthmoving, cranes, railways, special vehicles, the truck industry, automotive, aerospace, energy generation, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, semiconductors, oil & gas, boiler and heat exchanger construction, shipbuilding and bridge construction. The group's companies operate worldwide with production and sales
