About GLOBE Fuel Cell Systems
GLOBE Fuel Cell Systems GmbH is a GreenTech company founded in 2020 in Stuttgart that develops and manufactures emission-free, digitally networked fuel cell systems for industrial applications. The company originated in 2019 from the fuel cell research department and the innovation division of Mercedes-Benz; the founding team around Steffen Bäuerle and Dr. Bernhard Wienk-Borgert combines more than 40 years of experience in fuel cell technology. At its Stuttgart site at Schelmenwasenstr. 35, GLOBE operates its development center and, since May 2023, the GLOBE Manufaktur for the series production of CE-certified XLP systems. In addition to its own product line — the XLP80 (120 kW peak power, for intralogistics and Ground Support Equipment), the LSP series for stationary power supply (400 to 2000 kW) and the DataCore fleet management software — the company offers engineering services: from the complete take-over of development projects to systems engineering, functional safety, mechanics, software and E/E engineering, through to test planning and procurement. Reference customers include, among others, Rolls-Royce Power Systems (250 kW fuel cell system, prototype handover April 2024) and Daimler Buses. Fields of application are intralogistics, airport Ground Support Equipment, stationary power and backup power supply, maritime applications and commercial vehicles.
