GLOBO Handels GmbH was founded on 15 May 1998 with its headquarters in Sankt Peter (Carinthia, Austria) and operates internationally as GLOBO Lighting in the lighting industry. Its core business comprises the development, production and distribution of decorative residential lighting – from classically elegant crystal chandeliers and LED luminaires, outdoor luminaires and rechargeable battery lamps to ceiling fans, acoustic panel designer lights, LED pictures, wall clocks and furniture. The product range comprises more than 4,000 items; over 1,000 new products are presented every year. Materials and design elements range from travertine (limestone), smoked glass, K9 crystals and stainless steel to aluminium, wood, cork, MDF and linen, through to plastic and silicone. Key distribution partners include furniture retailers, DIY stores, brick-and-mortar and online specialist retailers as well as international retail chains and regional distributors. With an export share of 80 percent, the products are available in more than 50 countries worldwide; a logistics centre with over 47,000 pallet storage spaces plus the Globo Eastern Europe warehouse with an additional 16,000 storage spaces ensure product availability throughout Europe.

Quality

The products are continuously subjected to strict quality inspections: already during the production phase, the European quality control team accompanies the items with ongoing visual and functional tests. In addition, every incoming shipment undergoes thorough incoming goods inspection at the Globo logistics centre.
