About GLOBUS Gummiwerke
GLOBUS Gummiwerke GmbH develops and manufactures technical elastomer sealing solutions in Ahrensbök (Schleswig-Holstein) for customers worldwide. The focus is on extrusion products such as flat gaskets, short hose lengths, cords, profiles and serrated rings, as well as custom molded parts such as torsion bar springs, rubber rollers and seals for cable glands and barrel closures. Production is carried out with plunger and vacuum extruders, in continuous vulcanization processes, and in downstream cutting and finishing processes; more than 250 active compounds (including NBR, EPDM, FKM, AEM, ACM, silicone) are available with approvals such as KTW and FDA. Core industries are aerosol, automotive, the packaging, food and chemical industries, pump and valve engineering, and mechanical engineering. The company is certified to IATF 16949 and supports products from the start of the life cycle through to phase-out.

Materials & Processes
NBR (nitrile rubber)
Oil- and grease-resistant standard material used, among other things, for flat gaskets and crankcase ventilation in the automotive sector.
EPDM
Ozone- and weather-resistant, used e.g. for serrated rings and flat gaskets for brake fluid reservoirs.
FKM (fluoro rubber)
Special material for high temperature and chemical resistance in demanding applications.
NR (natural rubber)
Standard extrusion material for technical rubber articles.
CIIR (chlorobutyl)
Special extrusion material for sealing applications.
AEM
Elastomer from the portfolio of more than 250 active compounds for industrial applications.
ACM
Elastomer from the portfolio of more than 250 active compounds for industrial applications.
Butyl (IIR)
Gas-tight material used, among other things, for seals in the packaging and chemical industries.
FPM
Fluoroelastomer for chemically and thermally highly stressed seals.
SBR
Styrene-butadiene rubber, among other things as an NBR/SBR blend for oil filler cap gaskets.
Silicone
Temperature-resistant material with approvals such as FDA and Pharma for the food sector.
