About GLOCK
Glock Gesellschaft m.b.H. is an Austrian firearms manufacturer headquartered in Ferlach (Carinthia) with a production facility in Deutsch-Wagram (Lower Austria). Founded in 1963 by Gaston Glock, the company produces semi-automatic pistols with a polymer grip frame and the proprietary Safe Action trigger system in more than 21 versions, with calibers ranging from 9 mm to .45 ACP. The metal parts of the weapons are protected against corrosion by ferritic nitrocarburizing (Tenifer process); the grip frame consists of plastic with a few steel inserts. In addition, GLOCK produces field knives and entrenching tools for various armies as well as accessories such as tactical lights and holsters. GLOCK pistols are standard service weapons, among others, of the Austrian Armed Forces, the Norwegian Army, the London Police, the German Federal Police and about two thirds of US law enforcement agencies; authorities and security forces in at least 48 countries are supplied. Other locations of the group are Smyrna (Georgia, USA), Dubai and Panama City.
