About Gloster
Gloster is a manufacturer of modern, high-quality outdoor furniture with roots dating back to 1960 in West Africa. The product range includes sofas, lounge chairs, loungers, dining tables, chairs, lighting and accessories for residential as well as contract and hospitality projects. Production is based predominantly on plantation teak from the state-run Perum Perhutani plantations in East Java (Indonesia); this is complemented by stainless steel, powder-coated aluminium, synthetic wicker, sling fabric, rope, ceramic and glass, all processed in dedicated specialist departments. Manufacturing is carried out by hand in the company's own factory in East Java, including its own sawmill, kiln drying and teak selection by a grading team. The European headquarters and sales office are located in Lüneburg (Lower Saxony), with the Group HQ in Bristol (UK); in the USA, Gloster operates six of its own studios. The company works with internationally renowned designers and offers specialised contract services for hospitality projects.
