About us
GMB Glasmanufaktur Brandenburg GmbH is a production site for the manufacture of solar and speciality glass with recognition throughout Europe. At the long-established glass site of Tschernitz in Brandenburg, the company produces low-iron speciality glass (solar glass) as well as speciality glass for greenhouse construction in mass production. The value chain includes glass melting, the cutting of flat glass on cutting lines and offline cutting tables, and packaging. Since October 2022, GMB has been 86 % owned by Borosil Renewables Limited; the remaining shares are held by the Blue Minds Company. As a production site, GMB acts as a partner of the Interfloat Corporation, through which the low-iron speciality glass is distributed. In 2016, the company received the European Solar Prize.
