About GNS Electronics
GNS Electronics GmbH, based in Würselen near Aachen, develops and produces electronics for positioning, time synchronization and traffic information. The product portfolio includes GNSS receiver modules (including GNS7040/GNS7043 and GNS410sLP/GNS413sLP), ADS-B receiver modules such as the GNS5894P, AIS receiver modules for maritime applications, TMC traffic information solutions and the high-precision triple-band GNSS base station NTRIP-X with RTK accuracy in the centimeter range. Manufacturing takes place at the Würselen site on a high-speed placement line (SMT), on which GPS modules are produced fully automatically; electronic assemblies are soldered using reflow. For quality assurance and failure analysis, X-ray inspection (X-Ray Imaging) with circular and tiltable examination has been in use since 2022, with which, among other things, BGA spheres, leadless packages, wire bonds, PTH via fills and solder joints are inspected. In addition to standard products, the company offers customized electronics development (tailor made development), support, training and RMA processing. Customers can be found in avionics, maritime, defense, precision agriculture, UAV/robotics, vehicle navigation and time synchronization; GNS is listed among the top ten GPS manufacturers.

Quality Assurance
Quality assurance is based on an X-ray inspection system (X-Ray Imaging) for failure analysis and process monitoring from lot to lot, including inspection of BGA spheres, solder joints and wire bonds. Students of FH Aachen and RWTH Aachen can have their electronic developments inspected free of charge.
