From Stuttgart, goCAD GmbH develops AI-supported software for quotation calculation in contract manufacturing. The product portfolio includes the goCAD Calculator for sales and production planning, a white-label webshop with configurator for customer ordering portals, and microservices via REST API: STEP Reader for geometry data, PDF Reader for drawing data, and Assembly Decompiler for bills of materials. The platform maps machining (milling, turning), sheet metal working (laser, punching, bending, waterjet), gantry milling nesting for engineering plastics, and special processes such as deburring, first article inspection, packaging and assembly in a single quotation. A special feature is the plastics expertise for TECAPEEK, TECAFORM and Lauramid, developed together with Ensinger. Hosting is GDPR-compliant in Germany, self-hosting is available on request. Founder and managing director is Dr. Philipp Sauter, previously responsible for the digitalization of sheet metal manufacturing at TRUMPF for seven years. In 2024, goCAD received the AMB Award at AMB in Stuttgart.
