About us
GoForLite - Intelligent Lightweight Solutions is an independent consulting, development and manufacturing service provider for multi-material lightweight design in plastic, fibre-composite and hybrid construction. Founded in 2018 by Dr.-Ing. Markus Steffens in Winnweiler, the company acts as a full-service specialist covering the entire product creation process from a single source: feasibility studies and potential analyses for substituting metallic components, material- and process-neutral selection, seamless computer-aided design and numerical simulation through to the digital twin. In implementation, GoForLite produces tools, moulds and fixtures, manufactures functional prototypes including additive manufacturing, performs component testing and field trials, and supports the start of production (SOP) as well as digitalisation in manufacturing. As a spin-off tradition of the Leibniz Institute for Composite Materials (IVW) Kaiserslautern, the company relies on a close network of specialised partners and acts as the overall responsible contracting party. Fields of application include commercial vehicles, mechanical engineering, medical technology, plant engineering and aviation.
