About Golden Delicious Computers
Golden Delicious Computers GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2007 in Oberhaching near Munich and is the continuation of the Handheld Linux shop started in 2003. The company specializes in the development of embedded electronics, in particular hardware and software development for embedded systems and mobile devices with high-end microcontrollers (ARM Cortex A, MIPS XBurst), wireless technologies (LTE, BLE), power management, miniaturization as well as complex peripheral and sensor functions. Services include contract development of hardware and software — from schematic and PCB layout through prototypes to transfer into series production via external partners —, Linux bootloader, kernel and driver development including the Debian-based LetuxOS distribution as well as system and application development for Linux and macOS. In addition, standard hardware is sold through the company's own shop, training courses and workshops are offered, and consulting services in high-tech business strategy, product and project management are provided. Flexibly handling small quantities is one of the expressly mentioned strengths.
