Goliath is a globally active manufacturer and distributor of games and toys headquartered in Hattem (Netherlands). The family business, founded in 1980 by Adi Golad, distributes a broad range of games, toys and outdoor products, including brands such as Triominos, Sequence, Phlat Ball, Shark Attack, Pig Goes Pop and the Pressman Classics. With 15 branches in 15 countries and distribution channels in more than 100 markets, the company reaches a potential market of 1.5 billion customers. The company originated with the distribution of Rummikub, which was marketed from 1978 onward and became the market-leading game in the Netherlands by 1986. In 2014, Goliath acquired the Pressman Toy Corporation; further acquisitions were Jax, Crown & Andrews and the Vivid Toy Group. The company operates four R&D centers for games and toys and has products manufactured in factories that meet internationally recognized social compliance standards.
