GORMET SRL is a family-owned company founded in 2006 and based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The company manufactures large mechanical engineering components up to 80 tonnes unit weight from steel, sheet and profile for mining, materials handling, offshore, shipbuilding and heavy machinery and plant engineering. The value chain includes flame cutting up to 12,000 mm in length, weld preparation, forming, welding, CNC machining up to 20,000 mm in length as well as blasting, coating and painting. On more than 45,000 m² of covered production area, of which 8,000 m² are dedicated to cutting and secondary processing, more than 600 tonnes of steel are processed per month. An in-house NDT team (UT, VT, MT, PT) and modern metrology with photogrammetry ensure quality. Logistics includes special transports throughout Europe, including securing and packaging.
