As a contract manufacturer, the company produces electronic assemblies, cable assemblies and mechatronic modules in the high-mix/low- to medium-volume segment and covers the value chain from product and application design via Global Engineering, Global Sourcing and Turnkey Sales through to Global Test Solutions and series production. With around 7,500 employees, GPV operates 14 sites in 11 production countries; the largest factories are located in Thailand, Estonia, Sri Lanka and Slovakia, with additional electronics plants in Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, China, Mexico and other countries. Customers come primarily from industrial electronics. Since the merger with the Finnish EMS provider Enics in October 2022, GPV has been one of the largest European EMS companies; shareholders are Schouw & Co. and the Ahlström Capital Group.
