About Gräfe Chemie

As a raw material manufacturer, Gräfe Chemie GmbH develops, produces and supplies cationic and non-ionic starch derivatives for the cosmetics industry. Under the Amylomer™ brand, liquid, film-forming conditioners for hair and skin care formulations are offered, based on natural raw materials such as potato and rice starch and serving as a plant-based alternative to synthetic or petrochemical film formers. The products are biodegradable, microplastic-free and are manufactured using energy- and waste-efficient production processes. In addition to raw material development, the company offers frame formulations, product samples, as well as efficacy verification and performance testing of formulations in its own hair laboratory «effectableyours» using biophysical and sensory methods. Customers include startups, contract manufacturers and well-known cosmetics brand manufacturers. The Amylomer™ products are climate-neutral via ClimatePartner; since 2022 the company has published a sustainability report every two years.
