About Kaisersberg

Grafitbergbau Kaisersberg GmbH, headquartered in St. Stefan ob Leoben (Styria, Austria), is one of the few graphite producers in Europe with its own mining operations and runs the only active graphite mine in the Alps. Underground, microcrystalline graphite is mined from a depth of around 800 meters and processed in-house into ultra-fine milling grades up to granular graphites. The product range includes microcrystalline graphite, flake graphite, synthetic graphite and expandable graphite with carbon contents from 40% to over 99%, complemented by special blends tailored to customer requirements. The graphites are used, among other things, in the automotive industry, for battery applications, in fire protection and in lubricants. In addition to mining and milling, the company offers research and development, laboratory and quality management, technical consulting as well as warehousing and logistics with deliveries in bags, big bags, containers or by silo truck. The company premises are directly connected to the Styrian rail network, enabling deliveries worldwide.
