About Granula
Granula AG was founded in 1961 and is one of the first manufacturers in Switzerland to specialise in masterbatches. The company develops and produces custom colour masterbatches, additive and functional masterbatches, combination masterbatches, halogen-free flame-retardant masterbatches (HFFR), compounds, compatibilizer/adhesion-promoter masterbatches and PLA masterbatches for almost all technical thermoplastics such as PE, PP, ABS, PA, PS, PB, PET, PC, TPE, TPU, POM and PLA. Production is carried out on modern twin-screw compounding lines, including counter-rotating and co-rotating extruder machines. The products are used in industries such as medical technology, food packaging, electrical engineering, construction, consumer goods, household appliances, automotive and cable technology, with compliance to FDA, EU Food Contact, MDR, REACH, RoHS and PPWR. The group operates production sites in Merenschwand (Switzerland) and Bhayala near Ahmedabad (India) and exports around 60 % to all continents. In addition, Granula offers formulation development with its own laboratory, technical service, laboratory testing, Colormark test specimens and regulatory consulting.

History

Foundation of Granula as one of the first manufacturers in Switzerland to specialise in masterbatches.

Opening of the new masterbatch production facility in Merenschwand, Switzerland.

Foundation of Granula Deutschland GmbH in Rudolstadt as the second production site.
- 2025
Granula Deutschland was transferred to new owners and renamed; Sulo Zendeli takes over as Managing Director of Granula AG on 1 October 2025.
