About Graphite Materials
Graphite Materials GmbH develops and manufactures components and system solutions made from graphite, carbon fiber-reinforced carbon (CFC) as well as rigid and soft felts for industrial high-temperature processes in the range of 850 to 3,000 °C. The portfolio includes CFC racks as workpiece carriers, insulation cylinders and panels for furnace chambers, graphite crucibles, heating systems, susceptors, charging plates and gas flow guide systems. In addition to manufacturing including post-cleaning and coating, the company offers engineering services with consulting, materials engineering, design, FEM/CFD simulation, 3D printing and prototyping, as well as heating chamber overhauls with dismantling, repair and commissioning. Customers are found in industries such as heat treatment and furnace construction, automotive, electronics, energy, chemicals, aerospace, semiconductors, metallurgy as well as the glass and ceramics industry. The headquarters with production is located in Oberasbach near Nuremberg; manufacturing ranges from individual parts to large series, supported by CNC machining of graphite and CFC. The company is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

Materials and Processes
Extruded Graphite
Extrusion-pressed graphite with anisotropic properties for heating elements, support beams and connections in furnace construction.
Vibration-Compacted Graphite
Largely isotropic graphite with grain size 0.3–0.5 mm for crucibles and furnace components.
Isostatic Graphite (Iso-Graphite)
Fine-grained, isotropic graphite with high flexural strength (~50 MPa) and high purity for high-purity semiconductor and LED processes.
Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Carbon (CFC)
High-strength, thermal-shock-resistant composite material for charging racks, workpiece carriers and structural components in heat treatment.
Graphite and Carbon Soft Felt
Flexible insulation material with excellent insulating properties for complex geometries in furnace chambers.
Rigid Felt
Dimensionally stable, self-supporting insulation material for panels and one-piece insulation cylinders.
Graphite Foil
Flexible graphite material for sealing and insulation applications.
Silicon Carbide (SiC)
Manufactured components such as graphite crucibles for SiC synthesis in the semiconductor industry.
Steel
Material for heat treatment processes such as hardening, tempering and annealing, which are supported by graphite components.
Technical Ceramics
Used in brazing of ceramic-metal joints and in the sintering process.
