About GreenBESS

GreenBESS is a specialized project company based in Hamburg that brokers direct investments in photovoltaic, utility-scale battery storage (BESS) and co-location projects. The company acquires projects directly from established project developers and thoroughly examines every venture before purchase – technically, commercially, legally and from a regulatory perspective, including independent profitability calculations. The focus is on projects with secured grid connection, verifiable yield history and complete permitting status. In the co-location segment, photovoltaics and utility-scale battery storage are combined at a single site; in addition, stand-alone BESS projects in the utility-scale segment are brokered at grid nodes that generate revenues from electricity trading, grid stabilization and ancillary services. The drafting and review of contractual documentation is supported by the commercial law firm CMS Hasche Sigle. GreenBESS opens individual investors access to an asset class that has previously been largely reserved for funds and large investors, and is active as a sponsor of FC St. Pauli as well as a member of the Renewable Energies Cluster Hamburg.
