About Greenfish
Greenfish AG is a Swiss company dedicated to sustainable shrimp farming. At the farm in St. Margrethen, Vannamei shrimp (Whiteleg shrimp) are raised in a closed recirculating system with its own water treatment and marketed fresh under the Schlössli Shrimps brand. The use of antibiotics and chemical additives is completely avoided; the animals' health is supported by probiotics, carefully chosen stocking densities and controlled water quality. The recirculating system uses salted fresh water as continuous water supply; water treatment is carried out using a proprietary formulation consisting exclusively of natural substances. Feeding as well as pumps and valves for water, air, compressed air and oxygen are largely automated and technically monitored. In addition, broodstock keeping (parent animals), hatchery and algae cultivation for own propagation are being established at the farm. The company's goal is resource-efficient, nature-oriented food production in Switzerland.
