About the Wine Estate

The Grendelmeier wine estate in Zizers is located in the Bündner Herrschaft region at around 550 m above sea level. The vines grow on a Rüfischuttkegel (debris cone) with a south-westerly aspect; the sunny, dry climate as well as the proximity to the mountains and the frequent foehn wind shape the character of the wines. Over six hectares, ten different grape varieties are cultivated. The grapes are processed with the estate's own pressing and bottled on the estate. All wines carry the AOC Graubünden designation of origin; the range includes red, white and rosé wines, sparkling wines, cider as well as spirits, jams, vinegar and oils. Products are marketed to the hospitality industry, private customers and selected retail outlets, complemented by a farm shop, an online shop with delivery within Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, and events such as tastings and a vine sponsorship scheme.
