About GREP

GREP Green Public Lighting Zrt. modernizes the public street lighting of municipalities to LED technology under the EPC model (Energy Performance Contracting). The company handles the data survey, a free electro-energetic feasibility study, planning and financing of the investment, installation with local contractors, as well as operation, maintenance and servicing until the end of the contract term with 24-hour fault reporting. The modernization is carried out without municipal funds and without the municipality taking on loans; the investment refinances itself from the achieved energy savings of 70 to 85 percent. The luminaires used come from major manufacturers, in Hungary predominantly Philips (UniStreet gen2, TownTune, CoreLine Tempo) with a ten-year manufacturer's warranty, cast aluminium housings, UV-resistant glass and flat optics according to EN 13201. Reference projects include Érd (8,767 luminaires, 2016), Gyöngyös (3,191 luminaires, 2020) and Jászapáti (1,862 luminaires, 2023); between 2013 and 2024, projects were handed over annually. Founded in 2010, the company has, according to its own statements, been active in EPC contracts since 2014.
