Gripple Limited was founded in 1989 in Sheffield and is the original innovator and manufacturer of wire joining and tensioning devices as well as anchors, bracing and suspension systems. The company manufactures vertically integrated: finished solutions are made from components produced in-house; the production and training site is the Gripple/GLIDE House on Savile Street East in Sheffield. The material basis is primarily galvanized steel wire and galvanized steel cable, including for Catenary Kits with pre-cut, pre-welded wire rope. Customer industries include agriculture, construction, geotechnics and civil engineering, erosion control, landscaping, rail, seismic and solar as well as mechanical and electrical building services. In addition, Gripple offers engineering services such as load calculations, BIM support (Revit to BS EN ISO 19650-2), catenary analyses using SCIA Engineer, on-site support and CIBSE-accredited CPD seminars.
