About Grosswald Brewery

Grosswald Brauerei Bauer GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1860 and has been family-owned ever since. The company produces various beer styles at its headquarters in the Eiweiler district of Heusweiler, such as Hofgut Pils, Zwickel, wheat beer, Landbier, Export and Festtrunk, as well as the beer-mixed drink G-Mix and a Radler. In addition, Köllertaler mineral water is bottled there. In 2010, around 40,000 hectoliters of beer were brewed with 30 employees. The beers are distributed mainly in the Saarland. The brewery is a member of Brauring, a cooperative association of private breweries from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Managing Director Alexander Kleber runs the company in the 5th generation; with his sons Christian and Florian, the 6th generation is ready to follow.
