About Ground A
Ground A GmbH is a defence tech company founded in Düsseldorf in 2026 that develops and manufactures the GA 1000 drone defense system. The integrated system combines radar, multisensor fusion, computer vision and proprietary AI with a high-energy laser on a fast slewing platform. It automatically detects, classifies and tracks small, agile drones and neutralizes them without ammunition. The complete system, including effector and energy modules, is transportable on a Euro pallet; self-sufficient, stackable energy modules enable grid-independent operation at remote locations, on vehicles and at critical infrastructure. Intended applications are military and defence, critical infrastructure such as airports, power plants, ports and data centers, as well as public security at borders and major events. The system is available for purchase or as Defence-as-a-Service; the decision on use remains with the operator.
