About Grüninger Mühlen

Grüninger Mühlen is a family business founded in 1936 by Wilhelm Grüninger, headquartered in Flums in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. At three sites, the company mills grain into baking flours, flour blends and specialities as well as compound feed for agriculture. At Mühle Bahn, a roller mill commissioned in 2010 for soft wheat, up to 120 t of bread grain is processed daily; Mühle Dorf, with up to 50 t/day, produces mainly flour blends, specialities with seeds as well as rye and spelt flours. The feed mill, built alongside the railway line, produces up to 200 t of compound feed per day, including computer-supported individual recipes and on-farm consulting. Packaging is carried out by a fully automatic bagging line with labelling, palletising and wrapping. Quality controls accompany the process from goods receipt to delivery, guided by the guidelines of the Swiss Feed Production Standard (SFPS).
