Grundner Sondermaschinen GmbH is an Upper Austrian company in special-purpose machinery engineering that has been developing customised logistics and automation solutions since 1989. Its core competence lies in the development and manufacture of fully automated storage and logistics solutions as well as handling systems. The portfolio includes surface storage systems, multi-level and 3-level storage systems, and custom gripper solutions for materials of all kinds and a wide variety of panel dimensions and material thicknesses. A key focus is the chaotic storage principle: the manipulator 'leafs through' chaotic panel stacks and selectively removes the desired panel – space-saving, highly flexible and with gentle transport that virtually eliminates damage. The solutions are designed for storage sizes of 3 to over 1000 panel stacks and can also be used in difficult spatial conditions with limited floor space and building height. The family-run company supplies customers worldwide, including from the timber trade, wood processing, metal handling and furniture manufacturing, and trains apprentices in mechatronics, electrical engineering, metal engineering and design.
