About Grupa Forte
Grupa Forte S.A. is a Polish manufacturer of ready-to-assemble furniture headquartered in Ostrów Mazowiecka. The family business, founded in 1992, operates five production plants in Poland – four furniture factories and one particleboard plant – covering around 129,000 m² of production space and employing over 3,000 staff. The range comprises around 4,000 products, supplemented by around 800 new designs per year from in-house design and development. Since 2018, the subsidiary TANNE sp. z o.o. in Suwałki has produced its own low-formaldehyde-emission particleboard meeting European and American market requirements; a state-accredited in-house laboratory tests emissions according to PN EN 717-1:2006, also for third-party products. Around 90% of production is exported to approximately 50 countries, predominantly to Europe, as well as to the USA and Asia; in Germany, Möbelvertrieb FORTE GmbH based in Bad Salzuflen distributes the product range.

The laboratory at the particleboard plant is the first in-house laboratory in the Polish wood-based materials industry to be accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation for formaldehyde emission according to PN EN 717-1:2006; both own boards and third-party products are tested.
