About us
GS-Steuerungstechnik GmbH was founded in 1996 in Gersthofen near Augsburg and is still owner-managed today. The company specializes in friction welding and offers contract friction welding as well as Magnetarc welding, a pressure welding process using a magnetically moved arc under shielding gas, as a contract service. As a manufacturer, GS-Steuerungstechnik develops and produces friction welding machines and friction welding systems, including the world's first double-head friction welding machine with facing devices on both sides and spindle positioning, including customer and automotive manufacturer acceptance. Further business areas are partial and full modernization (retrofit) of friction welding machines, control cabinet construction including assembly, installation and testing of control and switch cabinets, the manufacture of testing and straightening systems as well as software solutions such as QM4000 with SQL database for visualization and monitoring of friction welding machines. The portfolio is complemented by remote maintenance and a proprietary energy-saving hydraulic system. Customers include companies from the automotive industry and mechanical engineering.
