About GTK Timek Group AG
Founded in 1992, GTK Timek Group AG is a Swiss manufacturer of technical rollers and plastic coatings headquartered in Rivera with a second production site in Mezzovico (Ticino). The company is built on many years of experience in precision mechanics and the processing of elastomers and polymers. It produces rollers with polyurethane, rubber, silicone and foam coatings, as well as thermal rollers, magnetic rollers with ferrite or neodymium magnets, patented turn bars and mechanical components. Casting moulds are designed and manufactured in-house; series production takes place on automated systems with statistical process control (SPC). An in-house chemical laboratory for material analysis and CFD simulation supports the development of customised solutions. With the business units GTK ADDITIVE and 3DSwissmed, the group has also been offering additive manufacturing for the dental, medical and industrial sectors since 2018. Its customers are found in the food, pharmaceutical and medical technology industries as well as in printing and film processing.

Materials and Processes
Polyurethane
Cast coating of rollers with defined hardness, anti-static properties and abrasion resistance; FDA-certified polymers available for food and medical applications.
Rubber/Elastomers
Resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, heat and UV radiation for demanding roller applications.
Silicone
For high and low operating temperatures; with anti-static/anti-stick properties and fabric-reinforced compounds.
Foam (EPDM, silicone, PUR)
Open-cell or closed-cell foam coatings depending on the application, temperature and ambient humidity.
EPDM
Foam material for roller coatings with defined mechanical and chemical properties.
Ferrite magnets
Magnetic rollers with adjustable attraction force on the outer surface.
Neodymium magnets
Magnetic rollers with high magnet density and weight reduction according to customer requirements.
