About GTM Testing and Metrology

GTM Testing and Metrology GmbH, headquartered in Bickenbach (Hesse), develops and manufactures strain-gauge-based precision transducers for measuring forces, torques and multi-component loads. The product portfolio comprises force transducers (5 N to 10 MN), non-rotating torque transducers, multi-component transducers and measuring platforms (Engineered to Order), strain-gauge measuring amplifiers, transfer standards as well as turnkey metrological measuring systems for force, torque and multi-component applications. Materials used are precipitation-hardening steel, high-strength aluminium alloys and stainless steel. In addition to product development, GTM operates a calibration laboratory in Bickenbach accredited by DAkkS to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, including a 10-MN tension-compression force measuring system; in 2005 the laboratory received the first worldwide accreditation for the calibration of multi-component transducers. The products are used in materials and substance testing, component testing, quality and process control as well as at national metrology institutes. Further locations are GTM Praha s.r.o. in Prague and a sales office in Shanghai; the company is part of the ZwickRoell group.
