About INSTO
Günter Stoffel Medizintechnik GmbH (INSTO) is a specialized manufacturer and contract manufacturer of microsurgical instruments based in Wurmlingen near Tuttlingen. Since 1971, the company has produced round-handle instruments, forceps, biopsy forceps, vascular clamps and ENT forceps for hand surgery, microsurgery and ENT surgery. The value chain includes automated CNC milling (3- and 5-axis), Swiss-type turning of Ø 0.5 to 14.0 mm, laser welding, electron beam welding, an in-house hardening process with Vickers and HRC hardness testing, ultra-short-pulse laser marking including UDI code, and its own titanium coloring system. High-grade stainless steel alloys and titanium are used, which withstand repeated sterilization cycles without loss of performance. Components are manufactured with a fineness of down to 0.2 mm. Since 2024, INSTO has operated exclusively as a manufacturer and specialized contract manufacturer; custom model manufacturing runs under the name ALL THE WAY MICRO.

Quality & Certification
Every instrument undergoes rigorous quality control with tests for tip measurement, balance and consistency. Hardness is tested in-house by Vickers and HRC (Rockwell) hardness testing; initial certification was carried out in 1995 by the notified body DQS.
