gumeta Gummi-Metall-Werk H. Maes GmbH is a medium-sized family-owned company based in Rehlingen-Siersburg in Saarland, near the French border. Since 1955, the company has been manufacturing rubber-metal connections for all technical purposes. The focus is on water-lubricated rubber shaft bearings for ship propeller shafts, as well as for pump and turbine shafts in diameters from 20 mm to 800 mm. Other products include rubberized silicon carbide bearings, shaft protection sleeves, spare parts for counter-blow and overpressure hammers, rubber molded parts according to drawings, and rubber linings for pipes, rollers, and containers. The rubber mixtures are produced in-house; all elastomers and Shore hardness ranges are available, including oil-resistant, seawater-resistant, and chemical-resistant qualities. Production is done individually according to the customer's drawing, completely ready for installation, flexibly from small to large series. Customers include shipyards, shipping companies, authorities, and pump manufacturers worldwide.
