About GECO>C GmbH
Gummersbach Environmental Computing Center GmbH (GECO>C) is an engineering office for process optimization in environmental technology, based in Gummersbach. The company was founded in 2013 as a spin-off of the Institute of Automation & Industrial IT of TH Köln at the Gummersbach campus. Its focus is on the optimization of wastewater treatment plants and biogas plants as well as the training of landfill personnel in the field of landfill gas extraction systems. The service portfolio includes engineering and research services, software development, measurement technology and data analysis, as well as control and regulation technology, including ion-selective and spectral measurement methods. With its own measurement and remote-control technology, the company supervises plants predominantly online; among other things, a wastewater treatment plant in Kyrgyzstan is regularly monitored remotely. Reported results include energy savings of around 20 percent at wastewater treatment plants and savings of 10 to 20 percent in substrate costs at biogas plants.
