About the LUBECA Group

Gummifabrik Lubeca has been manufacturing damping and sealing solutions made of rubber since 1976: rubber molded articles, seals, rubber-metal and rubber-plastic bonds, vibration dampers, damping plates, self-adhesive rubber strips as well as assemblies including final assembly. Production is carried out by rubber injection molding on injection molding machines with 20 to 250 tonnes clamping force; large-volume series run on automatic rotary table machines with 4 to 14 stations as well as on automatic single-station injection molding machines for LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber). Elastomers, LSR and TPE are processed. The in-house toolmaking in Lübeck designs and manufactures elastomer, LSR and TPE tools, cold runners, jigs and handling systems and supplies prototype tools at short notice. Customers come from the automotive industry, construction, building services, energy technology, railway technology, safety engineering, the electrical industry, aerospace engineering and medical technology. The sites are located in Lübeck (Schleswig-Holstein) and Upahl (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern); delivery is made worldwide.

Materials and processes

Elastomere

Elastomers (rubber)

Base material for rubber molded parts, seals and damping elements in small and very large quantities.

LSR

LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber)

Liquid silicone is processed on automatic single-station injection molding machines, among other things for large-volume series.

TPE

TPE (thermoplastic elastomers)

Processed, among other things, in the in-house toolmaking department using TPE tools designed for this purpose.

GMV

Rubber-metal and rubber-plastic bonds

Composite parts such as cable grommets and decoupling elements made of rubber with metal or plastic components.

Quality and certification

Production is fully automated with inspection of the rubber molded articles; suppliers of quality-relevant materials are audited and approved by the in-house quality assurance department. The products are regularly tested by independent institutes; cooperation partners are the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation in Rostock as well as the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences.
