Gurtner AG is a family business founded in 1959 and based in Solothurn, specialising in plumbing and heating installations. Its range of services covers renovations and conversions, heating system upgrades with heat pump installation, service and repair work, and complete building services for new builds ranging from single-family homes and residential developments to complex industrial facilities. In addition to hands-on execution, the company also provides HVAC planning: from the preliminary project through tendering to detailed execution planning, with CAD plans and 3D coordination of the plant room. The service department performs work such as descaling hot water boilers, replacing valves and fittings, bleeding radiators and flushing underfloor heating; in the event of heating failures, the company provides interim solutions such as electric heaters or mobile heating units. The team comprises plumbing and heating installers, master installers, foremen and plumbing and heating planners who receive ongoing training. Since 1 May 2023, Reto Gurtner has led the business in its third generation.
