About us

Gustav Deblich OHG is a family-run sawmill in Sondheim v.d. Rhön, specialized in the production of oak and beech sawn timber. The company was founded in 1870, when Georg Kaspar Deblich purchased the mill of the municipality of Sondheim v.d. Rhön, in which milling and sawing of wood alternated. Gradually, the milling operation evolved into a modern sawmill: in 1951 a modern gang saw line was installed, in 1958 the equipment was extended with forklifts and in 1969 a debarking machine followed. Today the fifth and sixth generations run the business: Michael Deblich leads the company together with his son Philipp. The company places great value on quality, precision, sustainability and expert advice for its customers.
